Jimmy Burke Activity Center, Visitor Center & Museum

BRW is working with the City of Deer Park to create a new multi-purpose activity center to add needed space for the city’s recreational and provide rental spaces that can generate additional revenue. The Jimmy Burke Activity Center (JBAC) is located adjacent to the Minchen Athletic Complex, a 43-acre softball and recreational complex. The activity center will be a new 46,000 SF amenity to the community.

A master plan and feasibility study lead by BRW lead to a successful bond that is now supporting the design, documentation, and eventual construction of the new center. Additional site improvements include new parking and drop off, monument and directional signage, new bocce ball courts, framed connections to the softball fields, and landscaped porches and terraces.
