City of Grapevine Fire Department NO.3

Nestled in the City of Grapevine’s residential core, Fire Station 3 is the product of an exceptional collaboration between client, architect and contractor. The new firehouse replaces a 35-year-old facility and provides critical added capacity in a state-of-the-art facility. While modern in its amenities, Station 3 remains true to its role as a neighborhood station. More firehouse than fire station, design elements such as the gabled roof over the apparatus bay give the facility a distinctly residential and welcoming appearance. Appropriately scaled interior spaces create a homey atmosphere that belies the station’s considerable size.

Situated between an elementary school and a large residential community, Grapevine Station 3 is open to the public and provides health screening, triage and EMS services. The station houses a self-contained breathing apparatus fill station, allowing the Grapevine crews to remain closer to their first response districts while maintaining their equipment.
